The Pacific Rim Real Estate Society (PRRES) has awarded PhD student Ante Busic-Sontic with the Post-Graduate Research Scholarship at the 23rd Annual PRRES conference in Sydney (15-18 January 2017).

The scholarship was awarded for Busic-Sontic’s paper on his PhD research “Energy efficiency investments in residential buildings: Does personality matter?”. Motivated to enlighten the reasons for the reluctance of investments in energy efficiency in spite of their apparent potential to increase economic profitability, Busic-Sontic’s research aims to disentangle the role of personality traits in domestic energy efficiency decisions by synthesising economic models with frameworks derived from personality psychology.
