Sergio Nasarre-Aznar (Tarragona, 1974) is Full Professor of Civil Law and Director of the Housing Chair at the University Rovira i Virgili (Spain). Deputy Judge in the Court of Appeal of Tarragona since 2004, he is European Doctor in Law and holds an M.Phil. in Land Economy of the University of Cambridge. Since 2008 he is a Corresponding Member of the Spanish Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation. He has been granted the ICREA Fellowship to the excellence of research 2016-2020. Consultant of the EU Commission, the Catalan Parliament and Government, Amnesty International, FAO and the Association of German Pfandbrief Banks. He is the author of more tan 80 research works and has delivered over 130 invited speeches in 14 countries. He is main researcher in 10 national and international projects and has assessed private and public institutions on those matters. His research interests are mainly property law, landlord & tenant law, housing law, mortgage market, European private law, trusts and tort law.
