Professor Simon Cooper, LLB, LLM, MPhil, PhD, Attorney, is formerly Professor of Property Law at Aston University, having formerly taught at Durham University and Cardiff University and, after being called to the New York bar, as Visiting Professor at Stetson University. His doctoral thesis was on comparative registration of title with a focus on rectification and indemnity; his current research concentrates on that topic. In addition, he is also writing on administration of Crown land in Commonwealth countries, building on his experience of advising civil servants and law firms on this area in the Caribbean. He has advised overseas land registry on reforms and is currently consultant to an overseas law reform commission on inheritance reforms.
