AVOID is a framework that brings together the UK’s most prominent climate change research bodies. It aims to encourage integration and communication of the latest scientific and socioeconomic understanding of climate change and its implications.
AVOID provides evidence and research to the UK Government and other stakeholders, to help achieve international agreement on greenhouse gas emission reductions, through the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
4CMR’s initial contributions are to analyse macroeconomic consequences of emission reduction pathways, using E3MG; to review current literature and write understandable text on the economics of climate change mitigation.
