Angela is an applied economist with over 20 year's consultancy experience in a broad range of economic analysis and evaluation studies. She has an economics degree from the University of Kent and has specialised in survey based analytical techniques including data analysis. She has been heavily involved in the national evaluation of the Single Regeneration Budget which was undertaken on behalf of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. Angela was also responsible for the survey management for the national evaluation of Enterprise Zones carried out for the Department of the Environment, and has worked on a number of other national evaluations including Regional Selective Assistance and the Inner City Task Forces.

She also worked on the national evaluation of New Deal for Communities examining value for money and the national evaluation of Neighbourhood Management Pathfinders for the Neighbourhood Renewal Unit. More recently she was part of the team involved in the scoping study of Working Neighbourhoods Fund which looked at worklessness and how the WNF was being used to tackle it for the Department for Communities and Local Government.

Angela was also involved in the management of the Regional Studies Journal until 2005. She now manages the Cambridge Journal of Regions, Economy and Society which publishes multi-disciplinary international research on the spatial dimensions of contemporary socio-economic-political change. Each issue is devoted to a particular theme selected by the international editorial team. The aim of the Journal is to understand the formative changes and developments associated with the new spatial foundations of today's globalizing world. It also examines how changes in the global economy are playing out across different spatial scales. The Journal is keen to encourage articles from a diverse range of theoretical perspectives http://cjres.oxfordjournals.org/.
