Her background is in bio-medical sciences and economic analysis, her main work is in value for money analyses primarily in health and social care provision for central and local government in the UK, also for statutory and independent providers of health and social care in the UK and EU. Other major areas of research and teaching include epidemiological studies, and bio-medical ethics and law.
