- Dr Elisabete A. Silva is a University Lecturer in Planning in the Department of Land Economy, University of Cambridge.
- Dr. Silva is a lecturer (course co-ordinator) in "Urban and Environmental Planning I" (PGR01) and "Planning Policy and Practice" (Paper 14).
- Dr. Silva is co-ordinator of the PhD Programme.
- Dr. Silva holds a Ph.D. in Regional Planning (University of Massachusetts, USA), a Post Doctorate in Transportation (IST, UTL), a Master in Urban and Regional Planning (FCT, UNL), a MA (University of Cambridge). A first line management award (level 3 & 5) (ILM University of Cambridge), and a BA in Geography and Planning (UL, Portugal).
- Prior to taking up the appointment Elisabete was a affiliated Lecturer at the School of Engineering of the Catholic University (FEUCP, Portugal), Portugal. She was researcher and invited researcher of the American "National Centre for Geographical Information and Analysis" (NCGIA, USA), University of Massachusetts (OGIA and METLAND, USA), Lisbon Technical University (IST, UTL) and of the National Centre for Geographical Information (CNIG, Portugal).

Research interests:
- Dr. Silva has a research track record of more than 15 years, both at the public and private sector. Her research interests are centred on the application of new technologies to spatial planning in particular city and metropolitan dynamic modelling through time.
