Led by the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, The Rt Hon Patricia Scotland KC and Professor Nazia M Habib from the University of Cambridge, Their Future, Our Action has delivered on its key objective of co-creating a new approach to accessing international finance, COMPASS, that transforms the capacity of governments in 33 Commonwealth small and small island developing states (SIDS) to attract sustainable finance and build resilient economies.
The launch is a celebration of this incredible collaboration and its transformative outcomes, with a focus on the potential of COMPASS to support opportunities for the Commonwealth’s 1.5 billion young citizens.
COMPASS will be presented and discussed in the margins of the forthcoming Commonwealth Youth Forum during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Samoa in October. Concurrently, work is gathering pace for plans to take COMPASS forward to the implementation stage. This launch will include speakers discussing the potential of COMPASS, outlining the next steps in the implementation phase, and is an opportunity to network with other interested stakeholders.
