Dr Marietta Haffner


Dr  Marietta E.A. Haffner is an economist with more than 25 years of experience in conducting European comparative housing (policy) studies at Delft University of Technology, Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, OTB - Research for the Built Environment. These studies mostly contextualise the operation of housing systems in different countries from different angles.

Dr Haffner's interests include finance, policy, taxation and affordability, and she has published extensively on these topics. In recent years, the private rented sector featured in a number of her research projects, often working in cooperation with CCHPR.

She holds an honorary research appointment at RMIT (Australia), is a member of the Management Board of Housing Studies, and office coordinator of the European Network for Housing Research (ENHR).
