Marianne Aasen

Biography:

Marianne Aasen is senior researcher at CICERO Centre for climate research Oslo, Norway. Her background is in institutional and ecological economics, and her main research interest is public responses to climate change and climate policies.

She is currently leading (with Arild Vatn) an interdisciplinary project (ACT) involving environmental sociologists (Riley Dunlap) and environmental psychologists (Paul Stern). ACTs main goal is to understand the dynamics of behaviour, norms, beliefs, attitudes and policies relevant for transformation to a low-emitting society. She has expertise in both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, and is particularly interested in research that combines methods.

She is contributing author to the IPCC AR6 WG3.
