Department of Land Economy

Environment, Law & Economics

The workshop series 'CONNECTED POWER: Change, Power & Network Industries', will explore the future pressures network industries may face due to climate change, inequality, and wider development issues. It will also consider how they might adapt, and the political economy of change, i.e. how does change happen, and which actors may facilitate or hinder necessary change? Each workshop will focus on a different network industry, and feature a keynote speaker, up to two short presentations from graduate students, and time for questions and discussion.

Each workshop will start with a 30min keynote speech, followed 15min related graduate student presentations, leaving 30mins for questions and discussion. There will then be a drinks reception, to allow attendees to informally continue any discussions.

The first session, about Telecommunications, will take place on the 10th of May. See details in the programme bellow. For any inquiries please write to nv284 at
