Applications are invited for a Full-time Research Associate position in the Centre for Resilience and Sustainable Development in the Department of Land Economy.

The Centre is led by Dr Nazia M Habib, FRSA and managed by a small group of academics. As a part of the team, you will be working on a variety of global projects with a focus on good governance, sustainable investment, and responsible innovation in the context of climate change, sustainable development and resilience.

You will also engage in team efforts to apply for grants, write reports, publish outcomes, manage projects and deliver them. This research-associate job will offer global exposure - for example, in 2022 alone, 37 developing countries will benefit from the research outputs of the Centre.

Candidates should have earned a PhD degree with a qualitative transdisciplinary focus applied to an area in sustainability or development studies with a strong field work component. A range of disciplinary backgrounds will be considered including, but not limited to: Sustainability Science, Geography, Political Ecology, Institutional, Development, Ecological Economics, Transition, Public Policy or Development Studies, or International Law.

Your strong grounding in your chosen discipline must be matched with your proven ability to work in a transdisciplinary team using mixed methods research. You must have a proven track record in conducting high quality academic research, delivering action-based research in partnership with policy and business stakeholders and generating and crafting new project opportunities.
