Department of Land Economy (CEENRG)

Applicants are invited for a postdoctoral Research Associate (LA) in Landscape Regeneration and a Just Transition to support a project funded by the UK NERC at the Centre for Landscape Regeneration. The Research Associate will join a £10m research programme funded by the U.K. Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) through its Changing the Environment programme.

The Cambridge Centre for Landscape Regeneration (CLR) is led by the University of Cambridge with partners at the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, RSPB and NIAB, and will operate for the interval Jan 2022- Dec 2026. The Centre is part of both the University of Cambridge Conservation Research Institute (UCCRI) and Cambridge Zero. The Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resource Governance (C-EENRG) at the Department of Land Economy at the University of Cambridge is part of both (UCCRI and Cambridge Zero) and is leading the work package on implementation and analysis. Other Cambridge departments contributing include Zoology, Plant Sciences, Geography, and Archaeology. Prof. Laura Diaz Anadon and Prof. Shailaja Fennell (both from C-EENRG, Land Economy) are leading this work package.

This Research Associate will work on research directly with Professor Laura Diaz Anadon, Professor of Climate Change Policy at the University of Cambridge, Director at CEENRG, Fellow Elect at St. John's College and Research Associate at the Belfer Center of Harvard University. The RA will also play an important role interacting with Centre partners from the University and beyond.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
