Applications are invited for one Full-time Research Associate position to support an action-research project led by Dr Nazia Mintz Habib, Centre Head for the Centre of Resilience and Sustainable Development and her team. As a part of the team you will be working on a variety of projects that cover good governance, sustainable investment and responsible innovation themes. You will also engage in team efforts to apply for grants and manage projects. This post-doc job will offer global exposure, for example, in 2022 alone, 37 developing countries benefitted from the research outcome of the Centre.

Candidates should have a PhD degree, publication, grant experience, and strong quantitative methods skills. Expertise in using geospatial and quantitative software packages to improve data analysis and presentation will be a value add to the research team. The candidate will be encouraged and supervised to develop their own research topics, while also closely working on the ongoing projects of the centre. The candidate should be entrepreneurial, raise funds for research, develop external research communication materials and join in policy engagement and sustainable development related projects.

The Research Associate will work on different workshops delivery, reporting, sharing teaching and research related tasks, overseen by Dr Habib. The post will be located in the Centre of Resilience and Sustainable Development at the Land Economy Department. It is led by its Founding Director Dr Nazia M Habib, with an esteemed group of Fellows who are both academics and professionals. The Centre is known for its work on applying systems thinking approaches to political economics theories and developing action-methodologies that can improve the decision-making process.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 year in the first instance with a possibility of extension.
