University Lecturer in Applied Economics x 2

Department of Land Economy

The Department of Land Economy is looking to recruit two full-time, permanent Lecturers. These posts are intended to strengthen and coordinate the work of the Department of Land Economy in the area of applied economics, urban, regional and spatial economics, resource economics, agricultural economics and allied fields relevant to the built and natural environment. It is likely that one of the positions will emphasise work in urban economics, regional policy and development, real estate economics or allied areas; the other may have more of a focus on the rural economy, the economics of the natural environment, agriculture or resource management.

The Lecturers in Applied Economics will be expected to undertake internationally-leading research in the field of economics with a focus on areas aligned to the work of the Department; to identify sources of funding for such research and to build on and expand our network of contacts working in those areas; to teach on our undergraduate and post-graduate programmes in areas related to their expertise; and to make a general contribution to the running and management of the Department.
