The Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship is a highly prestigious and intensely competitive individual fellowship awarded by the Leverhulme Trust. It offers funding of three years to early career researchers, supporting them to pursue independent and interdisciplinary academic projects. Zhiwu began his Leverhulme Fellowship, with matching funding from the Isaac Newton Trust, in September this year, following the completion of his PhD. His funded project is titled “Place and the geography of opportunities in the UK”.
