Academic profile
I remain an active contributor to housing policy and research. I co-edit UK Housing Review on an annual basis and contribute articles to it and I am co-author with Professor Christine Whitehead on a number of recent housing reports and articles.
Most recently (2024) I have published Titan of the Thames: the life of Lord Desborough, Unbound. This extensively referenced and researched biography explores the life of William Grenfell 1855-1945.
I am currently Chair of First Affordable, a for profit housing association, a NED for Vida Home Loans and the Building Societies Trust. I am an adviser to the recently formed Shared Ownership Council which is working on improving shared ownership provision and delivery.
