C-EENRG Director, Professor Laura Diaz Anadon, participated in the Climate Crisis Advisory Group (CCAG) public meeting on the topic of carbon pricing. The meeting was held online on 30 September, 2021, in conjunction with the publication of a CCAG report What role can carbon pricing play in a just transition to net zero? The meeting and report summarise existing empirical evidence on carbon pricing, including research published by C-EENRG members on this topic, and provide policy recommendations to make carbon pricing more effective.

Climate Crisis Advisory Group is an independent group of experts reflecting a wide range of academic disciplines and indigenous knowledge, comprising 15 experts from 11 nations. CCAG members include leading authorities in climate science, carbon emissions, energy, environment, and natural resources. Professor Anadon is a CCAG member, along with Sir David King (Centre for Climate Repair, University of Cambridge); Dr. Robert W. Corell (Global Environment Technology Foundation, and Rising Seas Institute); Professor Qi Ye (Hong Kong University Science and Technology, and Tsinghua University); Professor Klaus Lackner (Arizona State University); Professor Mercedes Bustamante (University of Brasilia); Dr Arunabha Ghosh (Council on Energy, Environment and Water); Professor Johan Rockström (Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, and Stockholm University); Professor Lorraine Whitmarsh (University of Bath); Professor Nerilie Abram (Australian National University); Dr Tero Mustonen (Snowchange Cooperative, Finland); Professor Lavanya Rajamani (University of Oxford); Professor Mark Maslin (UCL); Dr Fatima Denton (United Nations University – Institute for Natural Resources in Africa); and Dr Christophe McGlade (International Energy Agency).
