The Department of Land Economy was delighted to host the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association (AREUEA) International Conference in Cambridge last week.

The Conference took place at Jesus College between the 19th and 22nd July.

A range of topics related to real estate and urban economics were discussed through presentations, and Professor Colin Lizieri gave the keynote address on Friday 22nd July, with a talk entitled, "Beliefs, Uncertainty and Decision-Making in Commercial Real Estate Markets".

The Conference was organised by Dr Carolin Hoeltken, who said,

"It was great to welcome researchers from all over the world who showcased their research on a diverse range of topics. The papers were of exceptional quality. We'd like to express our heartfelt gratitude to AREUEA and CLEAB. Without their support, this event would not have been possible."

Professor Thies Lindenthal said,

"First and foremost, we would like to thank all the participants for their valuable contributions. Throughout the conference over 100 papers of exceptional quality were presented. Each one also received constructive critiques from discussants, which will undoubtedly enhance the quality of the papers even further. Witnessing such dedicated engagement truly exemplifies research at its finest."
