Several members of C-EENRG pursue research agendas on different aspects of climate change and energy policy, including i) clean technology innovation; ii) public policy and institutions in the climate and energy space; and iii) the coupling of food, water and energy systems and its implications for policy-making.

Some of the research initiatives led by C-EENRG members in this area include:

Governing the Energy Transition
Understanding the Food-Energy-Water Nexus: the BRIDGE project
Innovation pathways, strategies and policies for the Low-Carbon Transition in Europe (INNOPATHS)
Co-location of manufacturing and innovation: drivers and impacts of technological innovation along the wind energy global value chain
What factors drive innovation in energy technologies? The role of technology spillovers and government investment
