The partners believe that by incorporating games into the peace building discourse, they can move the conversation from a specialist-driven discipline to one that is open source and inclusive of youthful perspectives.

The work has been made possible by a generous donation to CRSD by the Khalili Foundation.

The project, which is set to begin later this year, will focus on developing methodologies to integrate cross cultural and political-economic diversity while reasoning and negotiating for peace. CRSD will co-create the research with multiple agencies ranging from the entertainment industry to peace negotiating bodies.

“We are eager to see the impact that this unique approach will have on the peace building discourse”, said Dr Nazia Mintz-Habib. “Cultural diplomacy is a skill that will be developed based on the project's research as a practical goal."
