Career bio
Dr Ermanno Miele received the M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rome Tor Vergata University, Rome, Italy, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Genoa, Genoa, Italy, in 2014. He has been enrolled as Research Fellow with the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Genoa, Italy (2014 and 2017), Visiting Scientist with Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH, USA (2015), and Research Fellow with the National University of Singapore, Singapore (2016). He is currently Faraday Institution Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, working on optical methods to monitor Li-ion Batteries, predict device degradation and mitigate environmental impact. His research interests include advanced nano-fabrication techniques, surface chemistry, vibrational spectroscopies and optical waveguides for non-destructive analysis of materials. |
