All the Department’s research deals with the way both the natural and built environments are used and experienced, and an awareness of the environment is at the centre of everything we do. There is a need to understand the factors that have the power to significantly change the environment, such as government policy, corporate impact, agricultural practice, and land use, in order to better utilise the systems on offer to safeguard and enhance the places we live, work, and enjoy.
