Bio

Saurav is a research assistant at the centre, working across multiple projects. He has a background in economics and social entrepreneurship. He started his career in a grassroots organisation surveying climate migration patterns and the electrification needs of urban slum settlements in Calcutta, India.   Saurav has previously worked at Carbon Tracker Initiative, Agami, and Ashoka Innovators for the Public. His Master’s Thesis focused on the global south-centred Green New Deal that led to his interest in extractivism and critical minerals transition. In 2017, he was selected as the youngest Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum in Bengaluru.
