Research from the Department of Land Economy has been published in OECD Regional Development Papers.

Two of the three authors are members of the Department: Dr Davide Luca, Assistant Professor of Economy Geography, and Zhiwu Wei, PhD Candidate. They collaborated with Cem Özgüzel on the research.

The research made three important conclusions in this area, namely it:

  • Found that capital regions and cities adapted more rapidly to 'working from home' during the COVID-19 pandemic than other areas of the European continent
  • It found and tested which factors were associated with uptake of 'working from home' during the pandemic
